Data Processing Agreement
Last updated May 22, 2026
When you use Scout to process personal data, Scout acts as your data processor. This page summarises how Scout processes data on your behalf and how to request a signed Data Processing Agreement (DPA).
1. Roles
You are the data controller: you decide what queries to send and what data to process. Scout is the data processor and acts on your documented instructions.
2. Scope
The DPA covers personal data Scout processes on your behalf, including the account details you provide and any personal data contained in the content a query returns.
3. Sub-processors
Scout relies on a small set of sub-processors, including Polar for payment processing and our hosting and infrastructure providers. A current list is available on request, and we give reasonable notice before adding a new sub-processor.
4. International transfers
Your data may be processed in countries other than your own. Where required, we put appropriate safeguards in place, including Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. Security and breach notification
The measures we use to protect data are described on our Security page. We notify affected customers without undue delay of any confirmed personal-data breach.
6. Requesting a signed DPA
Email support@usescout.ai with your company name and the legal contact who will countersign, and we will send a copy to sign.
